The Festival du film social is both a social and cinematic event. It is organized every October by the association La 25e image.
The Festival du film social takes place every October at multiple venues in more than forty cities across France. Organized by the association La 25 e image, its aim is to raise public awareness of the experiences of people facing social hardship and those who support them… The festival can therefore help promote social work, inspire people to pursue careers in the field, strengthen educational approaches and, more broadly, raise awareness among all citizens and foster greater social cohesion within our society. Did you know? Films are projected at a rate of 24 frames per second. La 25e Image is the one we do not see—the subliminal image. Films in competition This year, 19 films are competing in the festival’s 2026 edition: 11 fiction films, 6 documentaries and 2 animated films, all of outstanding cinematic quality.
