For fifteen years, Yann Le Houelleur has been drawing Paris directly from its streets. For two days, several dozen of his works will be brought together in an exceptional exhibition at Galerie Echomusée.
For fifteen years, Yann Le Houelleur has been drawing in the streets of Paris. Seated opposite the buildings, monuments, and scenes around him, he observes them at length, allowing the city the time it needs to take shape on paper. His drawings do not seek to reproduce exactly what he sees. Proportions shift, colors intensify, and details and figures accumulate, gradually creating a highly personal perspective on Paris over the years. Before Paris, there was also São Paulo, where Yann lived for more than ten years. A selection of black-and-white drawings produced during that period will be presented, revealing another facet of his artistic journey. Brought together for this exhibition, several dozen works offer a journey through fifteen years of drawing in the streets of Paris. Yann Le Houelleur will be present during the exhibition to meet visitors and share the stories behind his drawings.
