For this eleventh edition of Le Beau Dimanche, Le Barboteur is presenting an exclusive performance by Cotonete. Beautiful Sundays are spent by the water.
Cotonete is a seven-piece band with a constantly evolving musical lineup, founded in 2005. Its members blend their repertoires and influences to create a vibrant yet sophisticated sound, fusing seventies funk with a disco flavor and classy Brazilian jazz-funk. Funky brass and woodwinds, vintage keyboards (Rhodes, Clavinet), wah-wah guitar, and a tight bass-and-drum rhythm section deliver an irresistible groove. Cotonete brings together the grooves of Herbie Hancock, Deodato, Azymuth, and the JB’s with the French art of living.
