Join Pied de Biche, a French brand of high-end shoes and leather goods. As a Development & Production Shoes Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, overseeing production, and managing quality. You will work closely with our stylists and be the direct point of contact for our suppliers and manufacturers. This position is based in La Rochelle and requires monthly trips to Portugal. Participate in material sourcing, sending Technical Sheets to factories, and tracking the back-and-forth of development. Support during price negotiations, manage relationships with suppliers, and ensure the monitoring of selling prices. Participate in overall quality control, manage supplier disputes, and analyze customer feedback. • Education: Bac +3 to Bac +5 (Fashion School, Business School, Textile/Leather Engineering or equivalent). • Experience: A first experience (internship/apprenticeship included) in product development or production management, ideally in footwear or leather goods. • Technical skills (Hard Skills): Excellent mastery of Excel (essential for pricing and production tracking). Fluent English is imperative (daily written and oral communication with factories). Proficiency in Portuguese is a significant asset. Understanding of the technical constraints related to shoe manufacturing. • Soft skills: Strong organizational skills and rigor (ability to manage 3 seasons simultaneously without losing track). Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and firmness (for supplier management and negotiation). Reactivity, problem-solving ability.
