Arrested Development’s journey began in Atlanta in the early ’90s. Its conscious, socially engaged hip-hop has endured through the decades. Blending rap, soul, and African influences, the group began spreading the positive vibes of its Southern hip-hop in 1992 with 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of…. Identity, peace, and social justice lie at the heart of a body of work sometimes infused with jazz or funk. Grooves and purpose coexist naturally.
