To mark World Cleanup Day, the DSD – Développement Solidaire et Durable association is organizing Clean Up Day Montpellier on September 18 and 19, 2026 at Bassin Jacques-Cœur in Port Marianne. Over two days, residents, associations, businesses, shopkeepers, schools, local authorities, and volunteers are invited to come together to protect our living environment and take practical action for the environment. The program includes litter-picking activities, as well as an activity village offering workshops, awareness stands, talks, and opportunities to connect around sustainable development, biodiversity, the circular economy, reuse, waste reduction, and the ecological transition. Clean Up Day is, above all, a friendly, free event open to everyone. Its aim is to raise environmental awareness among as many people as possible while strengthening ties between residents, businesses, associations, and institutions through a shared project. Whether you come with family, friends, your company, your association, or your school, everyone can take part in their own way and help make our neighborhood cleaner and more pleasant to live in. Join us in making Port Marianne an example of civic engagement and taking part in the world's largest movement for a cleaner environment.
