To mark the European Heritage Days, the Château de Flaugergues is opening its doors for a weekend of discovery. Explore the history of this Montpellier family home with a guided tour of the château, its reception rooms, and its collections. This is a unique opportunity to discover the estate's architecture, heritage, and key historical milestones. Practical information: Admission: €5 per person (flat rate) Tour start times: 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m. Please note: as an exception, the 3 p.m. tour will be offered in French only. No English-language tour will be available at that time. Admission to the gardens is free throughout the weekend, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. ►Saturday only: free history talks In partnership with the C.R.I.S.E.S. research center – Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier III, three short history talks will be held throughout the afternoon: 3:00 p.m.: From Ship to Château: The Lives of Languedoc Naval Officers (1792–1830) By Natacha Abriat, heritage curator, Région Occitanie. 3:45 p.m.: Discovering the Adolphe Gilles Collection: Telling the Story of Montpellier Opera Through Its Archives By Sarah Queyrut, PhD candidate in contemporary history. 4:30 p.m.: Nostalgia for the Sahara: René de Saizieu's Letters from Africa (1898–1972) By Romain Daudé, historian in charge of the collections at the Château de Flaugergues.
