À propos

From the moment human beings decided to conquer the solar system, their relationship with their own planet Earth changed: other worlds like ours could just as well exist! At a time when the climate crisis is becoming devastating, the INTERSTELLAR exhibition looks at the space epic and the utopias of the 1970s from the opposite angle, as illustrated by Charles and Ray Eames’s iconic film, "Powers of Ten", by asking a question that remains just as fundamental: "What if we reimagined Earth?" At the heart of the immersive space of the HAB Galerie, "our world" is transformed into an almost unknown territory to be re/discovered differently, through works by around twenty contemporary visual artists, photographers, video artists, and designers. By interweaving the immensely distant and the extremely close, each of them reveals not only alternative perspectives or fictional forms on planet Earth, but above all reformulates its collective futures in the form of unprecedented and fascinating alternative timelines, so that we no longer remain, individually, in "the uncertainty of the eternity of [our] future condition" (Blaise Pascal). The artists: Rebecca Bournigault, Gillian Brett, Charlotte Charbonnel, Caroline Corbasson, Hugo Deverchère, Clément Fourment, Constance Guisset, Arthur Gosse, Ilanit Illouz, Clara Imbert, Pauline Julier, Sophie Keraudren-Hartenberger, Astrid Krogh, Anais Lelièvre, Caroline Le Méhauté, David Munoz, Sacha Teboul, Hongjie Yang Exhibition from May 23 to September 27, 2026 Opening hours: from 5/23 to 7/3/26: Wed to Sun, 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. from 7/4 to 9/6/26: Mon to Sun, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from 9/9 to 9/27/26: Wed to Sun, 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. From the moment human beings decided to conquer the solar system, their relationship with their own planet Earth changed: other worlds like ours could just as well exist!
