Season 3 of the hiking film festival STORIES & HIKES is coming in spring 2026 and will be in Nantes on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 8 PM at the UGC Ciné Atlantis. The festival travels to cinemas in France, but also in Switzerland for this 3rd season. It showcases films set against the backdrop of hiking, but that also cover many other topics! For this new season, the films take place in Nepal, France, and the Alps! Each screening presents 3 human adventures, 2 hours and 45 minutes of sensations and emotions set against stunning landscapes (including 2 hours and 10 minutes of projection). One of the festival's creators is present at each date to host the evening and engage with the audience. 3 films are selected for the audience award (voting at the end of the screening): "A Mountain of Hope" by Nicolas Lebenbojm (52 min.) which follows a nurse and her patient, who suffers from psychiatric disorders, as they conquer the Thorong La pass in Nepal. "A Path of One's Own" by Judith Laloy, Coline Briard, and Marion De Windt (25 min.) which discusses the journey of 3 young women heading to Santiago de Compostela, each walking for different reasons. "Via Alpina, in the Footsteps of the Pioneers" by Zoé Lemaitre (52 min.) which tells the story of Zoé Lemaitre's journey through the Alps. She interviews women about their relationship with the mountains along her route.
