In the heart of the forest, a woman on the run looks back on her twenties and the thirteen years she spent with Bluebeard. A romance intertwined with her dream of becoming an actress, with desire and passion erased by fear and exhaustion. Her story comes to life, offering a glimpse of the dawn of her recovery. Inspired by a true story and woven into the world of fairy tales, The Bird of Ourdi portrays, both poetically and realistically, a romantic relationship that turns into intimate partner violence and one woman's struggle to break free from coercive control. A discussion with the artistic team will take place after the performance on Saturday, December 4. Written by Jeanne-Claire Marchand. Featuring Jeanne-Claire Marchand and Sébastien Landry. Directed by Hervé Guilloteau. Artistic collaboration—body and movement: Laura Abad. Lighting design: Sara Lebreton. Sound design: Régis Langlais. Video and teaser production: Isabelle Mandin.
