In the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, two small Hindu temples—true havens of peace—open their doors for a wonderfully exotic journey.
Sandrine, who is passionate about Indian culture and its spiritual dimension, invites you to discover the main deities of the Hindu pantheon (Shiva, Vishnou, Ganesh, Brahma…). Through her stories and short traditional tales, you will learn about the legends of Ganesh and Ayyapan, both sons of Shiva, to whom the two temples are dedicated. Why does Ganesh have an elephant’s head? How did Ayyapan defeat the buffalo-headed demoness? Come and meet them as they tell you their stories. This will also be an opportunity to discover some of the customs and traditions of everyday life in India. You will also have the chance to attend a mini puja (ceremony), after which you can share the fruit from the offering, infused with spiritual energy. At the end of the tour, we will gather over a chai (spiced tea) for a moment of conversation and connection. Flower malas, shimmering saris, golden statues adorned with jewelry, and curls of incense, accompanied by mantras and bhajans—sacred prayers and songs… India in a thousand colors will delight all your senses!
