The Galerie 9e art invites you to travel with the heroes of the Kerascoët comics! Through original pages and illustrations, set off on the adventures from Foudroyants, Au Chant des Grenouilles, Nunuche, De Cape et de Mots, and Beauté.
Marie Pommepuy and Sébastien Cosset make up the illustrator duo Kerascoët and have been working together for more than 20 years. This spring, they are exhibiting a selection of pages from their latest publications at Galerie 9e Art. From Au Chant des Grenouilles to Foudroyants, this artist duo invites you to admire their works and discover their visual storytelling, in both black and white and color! Opening reception on Thursday 28/05/2026 from 6 p.m., with Sébastien Cosset in attendance. The Kerascoët duo have enjoyed many successes with their comics for adult readers. In recent years, they have focused on illustrating stories for a broad audience, in the great tradition of comics, from ages 7 to 77. This is how they teamed up with Flore Vesco for the 2022 adaptation of her novel De Cape et de Mots, and how they embarked on the adventure of Foudroyants with a script by Mathieu Bruniat. At the same time, they contributed to Barbara Canepa's series Au Chant des Grenouilles for the series' 4th volume. Around the same period, Marie Kerascoët published the volumes of Nunuche with Guillaume Bianco, lending her inks to the adventures of Zoé and her little dog. They adapt fluidly to the different stories of the writers they work with, while offering ambitious compositions in which images make the stories we are told resonate, with or without words. Flowing lines, deep blacks, soft colors, and ambitious architecture shape the works you can discover at the gallery. Sit back and learn to dream of adventures again, whether they take place in the nearby forest, in the schoolyard, or on mysterious islands.
