A mid-campaign exhibition showcasing the participatory initiative of the Observatoire photo participatif des paysages parisiens. Compare Paris landscapes captured today with those photographed in 1970.
To showcase and bring to life the ongoing participatory photography campaign (open until November 30, 2026), the CAUE de Paris is presenting an exhibition at La Roche, in partnership with the Ville de Paris. Discover a selection of contributions already submitted to the Observatoire photo participatif des paysages parisiens, using photographic diptychs to reveal the changes that have taken place between 1970 and today. Map from the Atlas de paysages de Paris; Credits: CAUE de Paris The exhibition places the campaign and the Observatoire at the heart of the Atlas de paysages de Paris, a resource commissioned by the French government and the Ville de Paris, produced by the Habitat Research Center (EPFL), and published online in 2024. By pairing the main layers of the Atlas with photographs from the Observatoire, the exhibition renews the dialogue between analysis and perception.
