Formula Bula 2026. Where heritage, the international contemporary scene and young audiences meet. Formula Bula 2026 remains true to its editorial DNA: bringing heritage, international contemporary creation and emerging forms into dialogue, while championing an open and vibrant vision of comics. Through a rich program of exhibitions, talks and experiments, the festival also puts young audiences in the spotlight with an ambitious program dedicated to children and knowledge-sharing.
Highlights of this edition F’murrr exhibition From September 17 to October 09, 2026- Mairie du 5ème. A journey through the absurd, poetic and profoundly humanistic world of Génie des Alpages. The exhibition reveals the full richness of F’murrr's work, a master of nonsense and a critical observer of the world. Alongside the exhibition, Formula Bula presents a series of talks and guided tours exploring the many facets of F’murrr's work. From his political and social engagement to the preservation and transmission of comic-book archives, these discussions bring together historians, curators and creators to shed light on the legacy of a major figure in the ninth art. Gros oeuvre, an exhibition by Marion Fayolle From September 25 to 27, 2026- Césure-Paris 5° An exploration of the home as an intimate and symbolic space at the heart of Marion Fayolle's work. The artist will also chair the jury for the 2026 Prix du Fanzine enfants et ados. International focus: Finnish comics From September 25 to 27, 2026- Césure-Paris 5° Featuring artists Aapo Rapi, Tommi Musturi, Emmi Valve, Roope Eronen, Hanneriina Moissenen, Marko Turunen, Femicomix. Led by Club 99, a federation of comics and related arts festivals, the Sarjakuva season showcases contemporary Finnish comics across several French festivals. As part of this initiative, Formula Bula welcomes six Finnish creators for exhibitions, talks and performances dedicated to visions from the North. Program for young audiences Médiathèques L’Heure Joyeuse (5°), Claire Bretécher (10°), Violette Leduc (11°), Aimé Césaire (14°), Assia Djebar (20°), Marguerite Duras (20°), Micro-folies de Noisy-le-sec (93 ). Formula Bula's program for young audiences spans six Parisian media libraries and includes a program dedicated to Tove Jansson's Moomins. It also features the 8th edition of the Concours international du fanzine d’enfants et d’ados (CNFE).
