À propos

PREVIEW France, Belgium, fiction, 153 min, Kidam, Michigan Films, Condor Distribution, 2026.

September 1940: the Pétain regime is taking shape. Henri Marre, 49, arrives in Vichy penniless, with no contacts, far from his wife and children. He sees the new regime as an opportunity to finally find the position he deserves. In his suitcase is his self-published political treatise, Notre Salut, in which he sets out his patriotic convictions on rebuilding France after its defeat. Through the story of an ordinary man becoming increasingly entangled in compromising with the Vichy regime, this film invites us to reflect on and discuss depictions of collaboration in French cinema. With Sylvie Lindeperg, professor of history at université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. In conversation with Stéphane Bou, journalist and editor-in-chief of K. Les Juifs, l’Europe, le xxie siècle. BOOK
