Every day in France, hundreds of people live with multiple sclerosis, the leading cause of severe non-traumatic disability among young adults. To advance research and raise public awareness of this still-incurable disease, France Sclérose en Plaques is organizing a new edition of the Grand Défi Solidaire on Sunday, October 18, 2026, its flagship sporting and charity event.
Following a 2025 edition that brought together more than 2,200 participants and raised over €60,000, the Grand Défi Solidaire returns on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Parc de Sceaux (Hauts-de-Seine), on the Plaine des 4 Statues. Organized by France Sclérose en Plaques, this sporting and charity event offers several options open to everyone: • Timed 10 km and 5 km races • 5 km and 2.5 km charity walks • 1 km children's race • An activity village, group warm-ups, awareness-raising areas, and plenty of opportunities to socialize This year, two major new features have been added to the event: • The Challenge Connecté from October 5 to 25, allowing people to take part anywhere in France, even remotely. • Online fundraising, enabling each participant to create their own page and rally friends and family in support of the fight against multiple sclerosis. The first 3,000 people to register will also receive the official 2026 event T-shirt.
