À propos

Marie de France, 12th century: the first known French woman poet, of whom only her first name and verses remain.

Musical theater for young audiences in French Sign Language (LSF) and French + VV Ages 8 and up ~45 min Before La Fontaine, there was Marie de France. Long forgotten and unjustly erased, she re-emerges here in a bilingual production brought to life by an actor and music. Bodies, gestures, rhythm, virtuosity: Maesta-Théâtre restores the original vitality and bold modernity of these short verse narratives. A radiant discovery. Company: Maesta-Théâtre Based on FABLES, MARIE DE FRANCE, Actes Sud, translated by Françoise Morvan Performers: Léa Bourdeau and Isabelle Florido Director: Benjamin Ducroq Music: Hervé Rigaud Lighting design and stage management: José Victorien Project coordination: Méghane Dumas Photo credit: Anthony Arrosères -- Production: Maesta-Théâtre Executive production: Les Marches de l'Été Coproduction: Glob Théâtre - Scène conventionnée d’intérêt national Art et création (Bordeaux) With residency support from iddac - Agence Culturelle du Département de la Gironde
