To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the educational apiary at Parc Georges Brassens (Paris 15) is hosting a fun, festive and educational event on September 26 and 27, 2027.
Since 1986, this apiary has introduced nearly 100,000 Parisian schoolchildren to the world of bees. Run by volunteers from the Société Centrale d'Apiculture, it was one of the first apiaries in France to make beekeeping education available to children and the general public. For this celebration, the park will host a 30-panel photo exhibition organized around three themes: the project's origins, educational activities and Parisian pollinators; talks on swarming, the Asian hornet, bee dances and foraging, the different tasks performed by the three castes, and cognition in the bee's miniature brain; fun activities; creative and virtual-reality workshops; a connected hive; honey tasting and sales; and, of course, the apiary will open its doors!
