At the invitation of the Embassy of the Netherlands in France, Design Museum Den Bosch is presenting a selection from its Posthuman collection at Atelier Néerlandais from September 10 to 18 as part of Paris Design Week.

For the occasion, Atelier Néerlandais is hosting one of the Netherlands’ most cutting-edge design museums. This presentation offers an initial glimpse into the Posthuman collection, in which designers explore the boundaries between humans, technology, and nature. Design Museum Den Bosch is presenting around thirty remarkable pieces of jewelry, video installations, photographs, and spectacular wearable objects, created by artists and designers including Bart Hess, Lakea Shepard, Loan Favan (Naula_Studio), and Neri Oxman. Posthuman The Posthuman collection at Design Museum Den Bosch is a forward-looking subcollection that has been actively developed since 2017. It consists of futuristic products that challenge the traditional relationship between humans and the body, technology, and nature. The collection was conceived as a natural extension of the museum’s extensive modern jewelry collection. According to the museum, while jewelry was once purely decorative, it has now become a technological extension of the body. The collection includes wearable objects as well as designs, photographs, and films. It encompasses not only commercial products but also speculative projects. The museum therefore holds the world’s first museum collection devoted specifically to this philosophical and technological theme. In 2028, Design Museum Den Bosch will organize a major exhibition on the subject.
