In conjunction with his “pays des merveilles” exhibition at the MEP Studio, the library welcomes artist and author Nanténé Traoré.
Nanténé Traoré pays particular attention to the material dimension of images and works exclusively with analog photography. Alongside his photographic work, he writes essays, poetry, and even plays. Through both words and images, he has developed the same distinctive way of telling stories and bringing them to life. He will discuss his approach to books, shaped by his experience as a self-publisher (You’ll come back soon enough, 2023). He will also talk about producing the MEP x Mörel Books fanzine that accompanies his current exhibition. Why publish, and how can an artwork be adapted to a printed medium such as a book? What editing and layout choices are involved?
Price: €0–€14. Ticket sales will open on September 14.
