For the new season Fiesta de lille3000, the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille invites Felice Varini for his installations with striking geometric shapes. Created specifically by the artist at the heart of the museum, 3 monumental works will transform the perception of several spaces, including the iconic atrium. "MY WORKS INVITE THE VIEWER TO ENTER INTO THE PAINTING" Felice Varini has been enchanting the public since the late 1970s with his monumental installations that interact with the surrounding architecture. Each of his works comes to life from a specific viewpoint, where the geometric shapes seem to magically assemble into a perfect composition. But the experience doesn't stop there: as you move, you will discover a multitude of perspectives and interpretations, like so many facets of a transformed space. Among Felice Varini's most famous works are the Grand Palais in Paris (2013), Hasselt in Belgium (2014), the Cité Radieuse in Marseille (2016), and the Cité de Carcassonne (2018), as well as his participation in international events such as the Niigata Water and Land Art Festival in Japan (2009) and the Singapore Biennale (2008).
