As part of the 2026 European Heritage Days, the metropolitan heritage association CHAPELLES&CO invites you to discover the family history behind this small chapel.
First mentioned in 1738 on the cadastral map of the Prieuré de Fives, the original Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Hocques was rebuilt in the 19th century by the Dordin family in thanksgiving for the safe return of one of their ancestors following the Italian Wars. To mark the European Heritage Days, descendants of the Dordin family will exceptionally open the doors of this family chapel and share its history, traditions, and cherished memories with you. This is a unique opportunity to discover a little-known heritage site that has been passed down from generation to generation. This event is presented by CHAPELLES&CO, the metropolitan association dedicated to preserving and promoting vernacular religious heritage, which looks after the chapel in partnership with the Ville de Lille.
