The Champions League is Europe’s most prestigious interclub table tennis competition. This year, LMTT has the honor of hosting Stage 1, welcoming 16 teams from 11 countries.
LMTT will enter the 2026–2027 season with greater sporting ambitions, both nationally and across Europe. After several seasons marked by a strong showing in the Europe Cup, the club is taking another step forward after being selected by the ETTU to host Stage 1 of the Champions League. This appointment is a genuine recognition of the quality of LMTT’s work and its ability to organize top-level international events. It also reflects the confidence placed in the club and the Ville de Lille to host a competition meeting the highest sporting, logistical, and organizational standards. From August 28 to 30, 2026, the Complexe Micheline Ostermeyer will host the entire opening stage of the Champions League. Over three days, 16 men’s teams, divided into four groups, will compete to qualify for the next round, offering Lille residents and people from across the metropolitan area a world-class sporting spectacle. Held across two playing areas, the competition will offer spectators four sessions of two matches per day over three days, featuring teams from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia. Lille Métropole Tennis de Table will compete in Group C alongside SKST Havirov (Czech Republic), TTC Sokah Hoboken (Belgium), and CTT Les Borges Vall (Spain).
