A concert during the lunch break
Escape into music over a lunch break: that is the promise of this chamber music concert series presented by the musicians of the Orchestre National de Lille! The Trio for horn, trumpet and trombone by Francis Poulenc (1922) opens the programme with humour, lightness and elegance, like a brilliant conversation between friends. The Légende for trumpet and piano by Georges Enesco blends lyricism and virtuosity, while the Deux pièces op. 28 by Leone Sinigaglia reveal a warm, tender and expressive horn. The Concerto for bass trombone and piano by Christopher Brubeck surprises with its rhythmic energy, blending swing and classical writing. Finally, Récréation by Pierre Gabaye offers a sparkling and joyful finale, celebrating the pleasure of playing together.
