Omar EK began making music in Casablanca, his hometown. Shaped by his collaborations with Arab-African musicians, this change of scenery inspired him to delve deeper into this rich musical territory. Electronic music gave him the idea of exploring the musical heritage of the continent where he was born, grounding his aesthetic in a progressive, modern Africa. The evening will continue with a DJ set by Nao. Nao moves within a multicultural musical environment shaped by her Japanese family's migration to Latin America. Closely connected to Latin American sounds, particularly reggaeton, which she blends with Brazilian funk, she performs in activist party spaces, fusing her influences with genres such as Jersey club and bass music. Closely associated with the Asian-descendant artist collectives Slayyysian and Tiger Bomb, she is deeply committed to increasing the visibility of queer artists of Asian descent in France, particularly in the Paris and Lille regions. ----------------- As part of the Méditerranée season As part of La Folie Continue #3, from July 03 to August 02, Maison Folie Moulins and its Micro-Folie open their doors all summer long so everyone can enjoy this unique space together!
