Palestine Solidarity Evening
On September 16 at Gare Saint Sauveur, Palestine takes center stage! At 6 p.m.: come and see or revisit the film "From Gaza with Love." Suhail Nassar tenderly films the children of Gaza and tells the story of their survival under Israeli bombs. A luminous wartime journal, recounted remotely to Charles Villa, a foreign reporter barred from entering Gaza. It is the story of a vibrant young generation and a budding friendship. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film team. At 9:15 p.m., come and share the infectious energy of SIDI WACHO, who, as always, promises a colorful, festive, and politically engaged concert! Come and show your solidarity! All donations collected will be given in full to two associations working on the ground, as close as possible to the needs of Palestinians: - Palmed: an association of doctors dedicated to providing medical assistance to Palestinian populations affected by humanitarian crises, particularly in Gaza, treating people injured in the war and/or those with chronic illnesses - Project Hope: an association based in Naplouse (Cisjordanie) that works primarily in the refugee camps around Naplouse in the fields of art and education, helping young Palestinians who have grown up amid violence and occupation by giving them the tools they need to build a better future. The evening is organized by the "Amitié Lille Naplouse" association (ALN), in partnership with the Lille branch of the "Ligue des Droits Humains" (LDH), with support from the Ville de Lille.
Event taken from the official Ville de Lille calendar; venue: Gare Saint Sauveur / L'hybride / Théâtre Sébastopol; address: 17 boulevard Jean-Baptiste Lebas, 59000 Lille.
