A birthday is never celebrated alone!
For its 50th birthday, the Orchestre National de Lille invites musicians from the region to enjoy a unique experience: playing alongside the Orchestra's musicians. After a broad call for participants, more than 70 amateur musicians from all walks of life — conservatory students, enthusiasts, enlightened amateurs… — will join some thirty ONL musicians on stage. All will come together under the baton of Joshua Weilerstein for a musical moment that is as demanding as it is exhilarating. On the program: rousing pieces from among the most famous in the orchestral repertoire, including iconic works by Rossini, Bizet, Márquez and other essential composers. A vibrant, rhythmic repertoire for a festive atmosphere: everyone to the ONL!
