Guided tour with the exhibition curator, Véronique Sassetti Aguilera, of the exhibition "Living Through the War in Hérault, 1939-1945" from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. The tour is followed at 4 PM by a mystery film screening about the era in the amphitheater of Pierresvives. The exhibition addresses daily life from the defeat of 1940 until the end of the war and the European construction. It focuses on the experiences of the civilian population: the absence of prisoners, the arrival of people during the exodus or fleeing the occupied zone, the STO, the roundups, fear, shortages, and the German occupation… Very far from the idealism and hagiography often conveyed about this period, the exhibition aims to show a nuanced daily life where subsistence and survival are a priority. Open to all Free - Online reservation in the agenda on the Pierresvives website.
