The first attempts at reforestation face numerous oppositions. Thanks to exceptional commitment, forester Georges Fabre and botanist Charles Flahault manage to mobilize the population and restore millions of hectares of forest. Half documentary, the film alternates between the moving testimonies of the last reforesters and the ongoing work of professionals in Aigoual.
