This workshop introduces participants to the ancient practice of ex-votos. In the Greco-Roman world, an ex-voto was an offering made to the gods in a sanctuary, either in gratitude for a wish being granted or in the hope that it would come true. These ex-votos tell us a great deal about past rituals and beliefs, and how they have endured to the present day. During this workshop, each participant creates their own ex-voto.
