Pierre Gibbe Pierre Gibbe is a bassist steeped in funk, soul, and hip-hop. Trained in jazz at the CNR de Lyon, he first made his mark with Uptake, winners of the Jazz à Vienne emerging artist competition. Based in Paris since 2017, he joined the La Petite Écurie collective and gradually established himself on the Paris music scene. His playing, both groovy and eclectic, has led him to collaborate with artists as diverse as Lyricson, Steve Waring, Emma Peters, and Jewel Usain. He has also shared the stage with DeLaSoul, Goldlink, and Barry Moore, exploring a hybrid sound that bridges urban music and contemporary jazz.
