This master's seminar from the Department of Literature and Language at ENS is organized by Nathalie Koble and Roland Béhar at the Maison de Victor Hugo. Places for auditors are available.
"Make it new!" Seminar by Nathalie Koble and Roland Béhar Translating Poetry (texts, stories, theories) In connection with the literary translation workshops held in the literary departments of ENS, this collective seminar offers a comprehensive reflection on the history, theories, and practices of poetic translation in Europe and around the world. Each session is dedicated to a specific theoretical and textual corpus, introduced and commented on by a specialist, either alone or in tandem. The seminar benefits from a partnership with the Maison Victor Hugo, which hosts it, and is linked with external institutions: the associations Atlas, Poemata, the collective Double Change, the Poetry Market. Invitations to poets, translators, and translation professionals will complement the weekly seminar in various forms (readings, lectures, residencies, workshops).
