Enjoy the spring break with your family by discovering the Musée des Plans-Reliefs and its unique collection of models, through a construction workshop or a strategy game!
Registration for family workshops: via the form on the website. Fee: 7 euros per child, one accompanying adult free. Payment on site. Wednesday, April 22, 11 AM: workshop "Build Your Citadel with KAPLA" (ages 5-10) After a quick introduction to the models in the museum's galleries, families will use KAPLA and TomTect construction games in the workshop to recreate the fortifications and buildings present on the plans-reliefs. For example, using the beautiful citadel of Saint-Martin-de-Ré designed by Vauban during the time of Louis XIV as a model. (Duration: about 1h45) Wednesday, April 29, 11 AM: workshop "Budding Strategists" (ages 8-14) Come take part in one of the first major battles of the young captain Napoleon Bonaparte, reliving the siege of Toulon in 1793. All in front of the plans-relief of the city, then in the workshop, around a large map. The children will step into the shoes of the army led by Bonaparte, to liberate the city of Toulon through a strategy game. (Duration: 1h30)
