Illustration to understand nature
Anna Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717), a German artist and naturalist, is distinguished by her drawings of plants and insects. Through her very detailed observations and reproductions, she carried out considerable scientific work, particularly on the metamorphosis of butterflies. Coloring pages based on her works will be made available on request, for older children and adults. Exhibition offered as part of the Autumn of Science in Libraries - Nature inspires us.
