Discover INTERREALM, a Sino-French exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre, where Xiangyu Li and international artists reinvent tradition and the forms of contemporary art.
From October 23 to 25, 2026, the Carrousel du Louvre hosts the second INTERREALM Sino-French Art and Design Exhibition. Organized as part of the Art Shopping fair, the event brings together 23 international artists and creators around a shared ambition: to foster dialogue between cultures and renew perspectives on artistic heritage. Chinese artist Xiangyu Li is among the creators to discover. Originally from Xi'an, he draws inspiration from the legacy of the Qin, Han and Tang dynasties to give new expression to symbols of Chinese history. His series of screen prints YONGLEHUI, inspired by the terracotta warriors, and his work TANGFUGUI, a horse shaped using traditional Chinese lacquer techniques, illustrate this encounter between ancestral craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics. His work has notably been awarded the International Gold Design Prize of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum. Alongside him, several artists offer singular worlds. Jia Wei KK explores emotions and resilience through his artistic universe Ruhua, while Serge Bloch reveals the poetry of ordinary gestures through drawing and collage. Gu Yuandai blurs the boundaries between painting and fashion, and Li Wei, a professor at Tsinghua University, reinterprets Chinese textile traditions. Dutch artist Robbert de Goede, for his part, works with charred wood and taut threads to create sculptures in which material and light converse. The exhibition also makes room for a new generation of talent, whose creations address human relationships, identity, ecology and digital technologies through disciplines ranging from ceramics to interactive installation. Curated by Yueming Meng, INTERREALM thus offers an exploration of contemporary creation at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures. The program continues on October 26 with an international art forum and an awards ceremony.
