A window into the queer pop and immigrant perspective of an Argentine artist-musician, within the framework of the pride festival.
POP immigrART is an autobiographical exhibition about the life of MëLL as a musician artist and immigrant. "Pop culture holds an important place in my life, both in my music and in my visual aesthetic. It's a universe in which I naturally recognize myself. I've always been drawn to saturated colors and visual and sonic impact. This exhibition brings together photographs that I've retouched and digitally transformed, which correspond to different periods of my life. They tell my journey from the moment I decided to leave my hometown, Tucumán, to seek new horizons in Europe. Each country I've lived in brought me something different and contributed to shaping who I am today. Many of the photographs presented here were taken by Paula Delic. Today, I'm opening a door to my universe for you: that of the little POPboy from Tucumán who one day set out in search of something more." The exhibition is open from November 2 to 27, during the opening hours of the Paris Anim' Bessie Smith center.
