Discover free and open-access workshops during the spring break at Quai des Savoirs! Echoing the exhibition "Listening to the Living: Biomimicry, Between Arts and Sciences" co-produced and presented at Les Abattoirs. Family workshops for all audiences, free and continuously accessible from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM in the hall of Quai des Savoirs: 18 and 19 April: workshop "Mimicking the Living: Drawing Inspiration from Birds and More" by CPIE Terres Toulousaines: Explore the world of birds as a source of inspiration for numerous human innovations, through a poetic and scientific approach to biomimicry. It's up to you to think about a sustainable future inspired by nature! 20 April to 3 May: workshop "Portrait of the Living" by Diane T: Contribute to an ongoing artistic project by drawing your portrait using a low-tech photobooth designed by Diane T., currently in residence at Quai des Savoirs! Experiment with natural inks and their reactions to light to explore the notion of portrait and time. And also... freely accessible all day: "The Living Laboratory" by Bitoño: Discover what biomimicry consists of with a small interactive totem. In the form of a quiz, children can learn which human inventions or technologies have been inspired by nature.
