Between cold showers and bursts of laughter, “C'est pas comme si” is a bold duo performance blending theater and dance. A journey through time, from the 1960s to the present day. They step into the shoes of the women who came before them, listen to old sayings, and delve into outdated patterns. They laugh about them, cry over them, and use their bodies to express what lies within their hearts. The soundscape blends archival recordings and music, creating a sisterly femmage that explores history and equality. They are one, and they are two. They could be three or a thousand. They are women, carrying their history—the history etched into their bones and flesh. Like a marker in time, an imprint. They make no demands; they simply are, here and now.
