La Leche League is an international, national and local association that supports all breastfeeding and attachment parenting projects. The association invites you to discover its exhibition "Nos vies entrelactées" at the Maison des associations de Lille. The exhibition "Nos vies entrelactées" uses imagery to celebrate and support breastfeeding, playing on the double meaning of the word "cliché". This participatory project aims to raise public awareness, support mothers in their breastfeeding journey and encourage ecological transition through photos of breastfeeding families in their everyday environment, with their families and in public spaces. In 2025, 24 families from Nord and Pas-de-Calais (out of 37 applicants) were photographed. The mutual support between families around breastfeeding and attachment parenting, carried forward by La Leche League, formed the foundation for mobilizing this photography project. It highlights families that the association meets every week or who follow it on social media. Some images, many taken in Lille, may amuse or surprise. All of them bear witness to the diversity of breastfeeding experiences. The youngest baby photographed is two months old, the oldest child four and a half years old. They illustrate the fact that breastfeeding is compatible with social life, including in collective spaces: running errands, traveling, strolling, living, laughing! They tell a story that involves the whole family, including older siblings and the father.
