Poverty is not something you relieve — it is something you fight.
On 16 October, let's make the voices of those living in poverty heard. Because the fight against poverty concerns every one of us, join us on Friday 16 October 2026 at Place de la République in Lille for the World Day for the Eradication of Poverty. This day gives a direct voice to people affected by poverty and is a chance to come together, to talk, to understand and, above all, to act together for a fairer, more united and inclusive society. JOIN US FROM 11 AM TO 3 PM! On the programme: activities to meet one another in a different way: Theatre, Flashmob, "Vis ma vie" trail, Information stands, Spaces for exchange and encounters, Time to share, A friendly drink, Light refreshments. And to close the day, a ceremony paying tribute to people in poverty who have died will be held on the dalle des droits de l'homme. TOGETHER, LET'S REFUSE POVERTY! Giving people a voice, creating connections, changing how we see one another: every gesture counts in building a society where no one is left behind.
