The Montpellier Handball Foundation will organize the first edition of 'La Bosse de Montmaur', a solidarity race of 5 or 10 kilometers starting from FDI Stadium. A sports event open to all with an objective: to mobilize collectively to support women victims of violence. Running together to support those who sometimes had to move forward alone. Next November 8th, the Montpellier Handball Foundation invites Montpellier residents to the first edition of La Bosse de Montmaur, a new sports and solidarity event organized around FDI Stadium and Bois de Montmaur. Through this initiative, the Foundation wishes to harness the unifying power of sport to raise awareness and take action against violence against women. Funds raised during the event will contribute notably to financing support groups for women who have experienced or are experiencing situations of violence, in partnership with Planning Familial.
Two routes in the heart of Bois de Montmaur
Two formats will be offered to allow as many people as possible to participate in this first edition. The 10 km, with a start at 10:15, will offer runners the opportunity to complete four laps of 2.5 km in the heart of Bois de Montmaur. The 5 km, with a start at 9:00, will follow the same course, with two laps of the 2.5 km loop.
The event village will be set up at the P1 parking lot of FDI Stadium, a gathering point and meeting place for this morning dedicated to sport and solidarity. Beyond the stopwatch and performance, La Bosse de Montmaur aims to bring together regular runners, occasional participants, supporters, companies, associations, and residents of the area around a common cause. Registration is open online, with the option to choose between a 'Race' option and a 'Race + MHB Match' option, allowing you to combine your participation with a Montpellier Handball match during the 2026-2027 season. 👉 Register for La Bosse de Montmaur
Registration will also be possible on-site on Sunday, November 8th, from 8:00 to 9:00, with an additional fee.
