This summer camp with photographer artist Élise Toïdé invites teenagers ages 12 to 15 to create image constellations from their photographs.
Through a photographic walk through the city, its streets and gardens, this camp will offer teenagers a personal and poetic collection of images. From one image to another, in moments of guided photography sessions with the photographer, they will capture landscapes, objects, plants and animals, portraits both near and distant. Beyond learning photography techniques, teenagers will be invited to pay attention to these suspended moments where fragility meets lightness and brings beauty into the everyday. Between self-discovery and openness to the world around us, this camp aims to express through images the sensitivity of each individual. The photographs produced, both individual and collective, will then be assembled into constellations, inviting contemplation and sharing through a new form of visual storytelling. For this occasion, Élise Toïdé will present some of her projects, including les vagues and Gabrielle, and will share with the group her artistic research around imagination, memory, and the poetic storytelling possibilities that photography offers. ____________________ Élise Toïdé Élise Toïdé develops a film photography practice in 35 mm, where portraits, landscapes, interiors, and fragments of everyday life compose open narratives. Her work explores time, memory, intimacy, and vulnerability, with particular attention to youth, states of transition, and the living world. Nourished by literature, cinema, and art history, she is interested in the traces left by beings, places, and their environment, and in how photography can reveal narratives and imaginaries.
