"The window is at the heart of my painting, a fragile threshold between my inner world and the city's hustle and bustle. It is at once an opening and a border, a place of observation and a space for reverie....
... Through it, I capture the variations of light, the passage of hours and seasons, the interplay of transparency and reflections that blur the boundaries between inside and outside. Little by little, my gaze becomes clearer. The window becomes a link, a space of resonance between two worlds, sometimes opposed, sometimes blended. Day and night reverse roles, natural light gives way to artificial light, landmarks fade away. Then the frame disappears in turn. My gaze loses itself in the urban night, among distant windows, these fragments of light suspended in darkness where silent lives and secret intimacies can be glimpsed. My painting explores this uncertain space. From my window to those of others, I pursue the same quest: to capture that moment where the visible meets the imaginary, where light reveals as much as it conceals, where shadow draws light, where the exterior becomes, in turn, the mirror of my inner world. Free admission, during library hours.
