From October 24 to November 14, 2026, come and discover Contre-Récits, a new program devoted to artists whose works reinvent the imaginaries of science fiction and shift the dominant narratives of technology. Through performance, cinema, immersive installation, and encounters, you are invited to look at technology differently: no longer simply as the instruments of a future to come, but as spaces where other ways of seeing the world emerge.
On the program: Léon l’Africain: 2527, by Mounir Ayache. What if you could walk in the footsteps of a 16th-century man … projected a thousand years into the future? Mounir Ayache, a Franco-Moroccan artist, presents the culminating project of several years of research: a video game installation that reinvents the figure of Léon l’Africain in a distant future and an Arab-futurist vein, inspired by Amine Maalouf's novel of the same name. You walk among historic monuments of Tombouctou and Samarra reconstructed in 3D and transformed by a thousand years of future civilization; you speak directly in Arabic with characters powered by artificial intelligence… Their voices and stories were written by women and men writers from the Maghreb. Practical info: - Ages 11 and up - Free - Duration: continuous Around the installation: a program that will take you on a journey! PERFORMANCE With inLAND, Annabelle Playe, Marc Siffert and Hugo Arcier deliver an audio-reactive performance that blends video games and the theme of passage between worlds. Explored live (on stage and online on Discord) in the manner of a 3D video game, new universes open up and crumble. Reality turns into illusion, and abstraction gives rise to landscapes. An elusive voice runs through them, witness or creator of a mysterious genesis underway. Practical info: - Saturday, November 14 at 8 pm - Ages 15 and up · €5–15 · Duration: 1 hr CINEMA For its third season, machinim_ai tackles the question of communities, exploring how they are built and sustained over time. The films selected in this context reveal how the virtual worlds of video games are used by artists to tell other stories about our world. By repurposing Far Cry 5, GTA V or The Last of Us, the artists make room for stories that are rarely seen. Practical info: - Saturday, October 24 at 4 pm and Saturday, November 14 at 4 pm - Ages 12 and up · Free · Duration: 1 hr PERFORMANCE Otaku Time expands the program to Japanese and Korean cultures. Manga, K-pop, video games, cosplay and culinary discoveries invite visitors to a festive, friendly day. Practical info: - Saturday, November 7, all day - Ages 6 and up · Free
