Correction after receiving your tax notice

Your tax notice will be available in your Personal Space between July 24 and July 31, 2026. If you notice an error on this notice, an online correction service is available in your Public Finances space (feature "Access online correction") from early August to late November 2026.

During this period, you can access your return and modify amounts or checked boxes. You will then receive a confirmation email. A new tax notice will be issued after processing the corrective return, and your withholding tax rate will be recalculated.

Once the online correction period has closed

You must file a claim in your Personal Space. This must be done within a strict timeframe. Consult the Service Public fact sheet to learn about the deadlines for various tax claims: Claims and legal appeals regarding taxes.

Certain information cannot be corrected via the online correction service:

  • changes in family status (marriage, civil partnership/PACS, dissolution of PACS, divorce, death);

  • updates to civil status;

  • modification of the designation of a trusted third party, change of address, or addition/modification of a student's address.

You filed a paper return

You can file a claim after receiving your tax notice:

  • online via the secure messaging system in your Public Finances space, click on the "Write" tab > Claim/Dispute/Income Tax;

  • by mail to your public finance center, clearly including the following information: name, first name, and address; tax ID number; handwritten signature; tax concerned; reason for the claim with supporting documents.

If you made a mistake in a declaration to the administration, you benefit from the right to make mistakes. This allows you to rectify your error without being penalized.
