What are the new amounts for the apprenticeship hiring grant?

The decree of March 6, 2026 indicates new amounts for apprenticeship contracts concluded from March 8, 2026, and starting before January 1, 2027.

What aids for contracts concluded previously?

Contracts concluded between January 1, 2026, and March 7, 2026 For apprenticeship contracts concluded from January 1, 2026, the aid allocated per contract will be:

  • €5,000 for companies with fewer than 250 employees;

  • €6,000 for the recruitment of apprentices with disabilities (aid cumulative with other aids for disabled workers).

This aid is only paid for the first year of the contract's execution and only concerns the hiring of an apprentice preparing for a diploma at level lower than or equal to the baccalaureate (level 4).

Contracts concluded between February 24, 2025, and December 31, 2025 For apprenticeship contracts concluded from February 24, 2025 (the day after the publication date of the decree), the maximum aid allocated per contract is set at:

  • €5,000 for companies with fewer than 250 employees;

  • €2,000 for companies with 250 employees or more;

  • €6,000 for the recruitment of apprentices with disabilities (aid cumulative with other aids for disabled workers).

This aid is only paid for the first year of the contract's execution. It is received pro-rata based on the duration of the contract when it is less than one year.

The decree of February 22, 2025 introduced 2 new conditions to benefit from this aid:

  • the transmission of the contract by the employer to the Skills Operator (OPCO) must take place no later than 6 months after its conclusion and the filing thereof by the operator with the minister in charge of vocational training;

  • not having already benefited from the apprenticeship hiring aid. This provision applies to apprenticeship contracts concluded between the same employer and the same apprentice for the same professional certification.

Contracts concluded between January 1 and February 23, 2025 For contracts concluded during this period, the maximum aid amounts to €6,000 per contract for companies with fewer than 250 employees.

Other companies do not benefit from this aid.

For more information, please consult the corresponding fact sheet.

How is the aid paid?

No specific action is required to benefit from the aid; the company simply needs to declare the hiring of an apprentice.

The aid is automatically paid by the Agency for Services and Payments (ASP) every month during the first year of the apprenticeship contract or the professionalization contract, before the salary payment. The company receives a payment notice viewable on the SYLAé platform.
