Economic Life Simplification Act
Simplification of apprenticeship procedures Published on June 1, 2026 - Entreprendre Service Public / Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister's Office)
The Economic Life Simplification Act of May 26, 2026, reduces employers' apprenticeship-related administrative requirements and permanently abolishes the apprenticeship declaration.

Until now, companies wishing to recruit an apprentice were required to:
-
declare that they would "take the necessary measures to organize the apprenticeship";
-
guarantee that "the company's equipment, techniques used, working conditions, health and safety standards, professional and pedagogical skills, as well as the integrity of those responsible for training, are such as to ensure satisfactory training."
The Economic Life Simplification Act ends these obligations, as concluding an apprenticeship contract already ensures this.
It also removes the provision in the Labor Code stating that a branch agreement or collective agreement defines the expected professional skills of the master trainer.
Article R6223-22 of the Labor Code, which sets out skill requirements in the absence of a branch agreement or collective agreement, remains applicable.
