Marseille shopping: vintage thrift stores to know
Living in Marseille also means accepting that fashion is not only bought from the big high-street chains downtown. The city has an incredibly rich vintage scene, where every street seems to hide a treasure. Whether you are looking for Y2K pieces, streetwear, or timeless classics, these addresses are my personal favorites, tried and tested on the ground.

Practical tips
Most of these thrift stores are concentrated in the 1st and 6th arrondissements, easily accessible by tram (lines T1, T2, T3) or bus. Keep in mind that almost all of these shops are closed on Mondays. It is therefore best to plan your treasure hunt from Tuesday to Saturday. Hours often vary between 11:00/12:00 and 19:00, sometimes with a lunch break. My local tip: come early in the morning or during the week to avoid the weekend crowds and get first pick of new arrivals.
