Want to ensure that a gas station is not experiencing supply difficulties with diesel or gasoline? An official interactive map provides real-time information across the entire territory on fuel prices and availability at points of sale. Here's how to use it with Service Public.
The website prix-carburants.gouv.fr is the single official site (published by the Ministry of Economy), which lists fuel prices, as well as the supply status of gasoline and diesel at gas stations throughout France. Its search module is optimized for mobile consultation.
Reporting the prices charged is mandatory for any manager of a point of sale that has sold at least 500 cubic meters of SP95, SP95-E10, SP98, diesel, E85, or LPG fuels. Failure to comply with this obligation is subject to a fine.
The tool allows you to locate points of sale, view current prices, and see if there is a potential stockout of one of the fuels usually offered at the gas station in question. Prices are updated as soon as they change.
In the "Find a point of sale" menu, you can search for a gas station:

by brand type (major oil company, large retailer, independent, etc.);

based on services offered (RV park, convenience store, baby area, automatic car wash, etc.).
In the "Location" section, select a department and then enter the name or postal code of your town. On the map, click on the gas station you are interested in to open the information window. There you will find the name and address of the point of sale, the price per liter including tax for each type of fuel (or, if applicable, the indication "out of stock").
The prix-carburants.gouv.fr website also allows you to see, by department and administrative region, the percentage of gas stations experiencing supply difficulties for at least one product (gasoline or diesel).
The site also allows you to visualize refueling points along a route. In the "Find a route" menu, choose the fuel used, and the departure and arrival cities. The tool indicates the distance to travel, the duration of the trip, the detailed route plan, and the list of fuel points of sale along the route.
You can create your personal space on this site to save your favorite points of sale. You can then receive alerts about price changes.
