A decree outlines the terms for the payment of apprenticeship assistance provided to employers of apprentices. These new amounts apply to apprenticeship contracts concluded from March 8, 2026, and starting before January 1, 2027.

The decree of March 6, 2026, sets the following amounts for exceptional apprenticeship assistance (this assistance is only paid for the first year of the alternating contract):

Diploma or title with a professional purpose equivalent to at least level 3 (BEP or CAP) and, at most, level 4 (Baccalauréat or Brevet professionnel) of the national framework of professional certifications
250 employees and more
Diploma or title with a professional purpose equivalent to level 5 (Bac+2) of the national framework of professional certifications
250 employees and more
Diploma or title with a professional purpose equivalent to at least level 6 (Bac+3 or +4) and, at most, level 7 (Master) of the national framework of professional certifications
This assistance cannot be combined with the unique assistance of €5,000 granted only to companies with fewer than 250 employees. The latter concerns the recruitment of an apprentice preparing a title or diploma up to the baccalauréat level (bac +2 in overseas territories).
